Here are some photos of a recent trip to Indian River area while fishing for Redfish ( Sciaenops ocellatus )

For those not familiar with Florida fishing regulations, the limits are: Not less than 18" or more than 27"  ***1 per person per day***

Which translates into: "I have to let a lot of fish go"

Fish below were caught on August 11, 2006

49 3/4 inches and maxed out the scale we had, took about 12 minutes to land

Reviving the fish prior to releasing it

My host and neighbor Rob caught a nice one also coming in at 46" and took about 15 minutes to land, a stocky fish

Rob caught this one early, around 33 "

August 25, 2006

Wasting bait on these lil' trout, it was the first fish of the day

Nice 23", After this fish was caught we tore them up catching 4 apiece in addition to 3 trout apiece

It's a keeper at 23"

Next one was 27"

September 3, 2006

First fish of that caught at 6:45 am, within minutes 9 boats surrounded us and followed us while we caught Trout. After they left..........

I caught this 33"....... hahaha

This 28" inhaled the lure and took some time to retrieve it, but it survived

...and Rob caught this 44" monster, we followed the school by ourselves and picked them off until they hit deeper water.

Alan with a fish on....
