ex-American Airlines 727-223 ADV N889AA and ex-American Airlines 727-223 ADV N877AA N889AA was used by GOAA fire department for rescue training and later by the Orlando P.D.'s SWAT team for training. N889AA was crushed in early June 2003. N877AA will be used by GOAA F.D. for future training and will not be cut up.

September 3, 2005 Continental Airlines receives a new 737-900 at it's KMCO maintenance facility and another was to arrive on 9/7/05, but due to the Boeing strike it's arrival date is unsure.

Buggin' out at dusk, the pilot asked permission to light the burners for us, but the tower said no John Travolta's visit on December 10, 2006 John Travolta flew into KMCO to promote the last flight of Qantas's last flight of the first B707 they purchased. I believe that the Qantas jet was the oldest flyable 707 and Travolta's jet was the youngest. Of course the one day I don't bring my digital camera and have to use a 35mm with year old film, that is why the quality is poor
